Trip to El Hatillo

El Hatillo is a quaint little town situated about 45 min south of Caracas - it is a popular week-end destination for tourists and locals alike to spend an afternoon browsing small shops, having a bite to eat, or passing the time in the square. We did a little bit of each...

We were starving when we arrived, so we quickly found a restaurant called el Rincon de Hatillo where we had some yummy pizza and grilled meats. Pickle loved my fresh berry juice and drank most of it!

If there's one thing that Pickle likes it's being outside. I don't think that smile ever left his face as he checked out the trees, birds, and of course, the chicas (girls). Juan Carlos says he going to leave many 'corazones rotos' (broken hearts) in Venezuela.

My heart about stopped when I saw Carrie eating churros, fried dough sticks doused in honey. You may never see anything like this again. Hmmmmh! Plus, we had some of the thickest hot chocolate you can imagine. Gracias a Juan Carlos for the recommendation!
