Our little dinosaur

While we were in Utah this month, Mike took Nicholas to the dinosaur discovery museum. They had a great boys' morning out, and here's Nicholas getting dirty in the sand and water exhibit.

I asked Mike how he got Nicholas to pose so well for this shot, and Mike said he just did it. That's amazing since most of his pictures involve his thumb in his mouth and his blankie. Guess all it took was posing in front of T-Rex to warm him up for the camera.

Look out Indiana Jones, here's our future archaeologist. "Look Dada, I found a bone."

Trip to Utah

Here's cousin Jayden and Nicholas having tons of fun with bubble wrap. If only I'd known how easy it was, I wouldn't have needed to buy all those toys that he doesn't touch : )

Mike and I went to the Salt Lake City temple and had someone take this shot. It's significant to us because Mike's parents stood in front of this very same door 26 years ago with a 6-year-old Mike and his younger sisters. They were sealed as a family for time and all eternity that day.

Mike's sister, Alison, graduated from BYU - YEAH!!! We're so proud of her!!

Roasting marshmallows around a portable grill under the carport. We had a fire going, but it started to rain. Nicholas was sad to see the "firepit" go up in smoke, but he quickly got over it when he got a s'more.

Cheerio Stylin'

We came across some doggie sunglasses that my mom got Cheerio a few years ago. He looks pretty cool (although he's probably thinking "great, another torture device"). Nicholas got a kick out of Cheerio's new look.

Oh, the things he does

My mom asked me what Nicholas has been up to lately so I thought I post a few details of his life right now.
1) He found my lipstick stash (luckily the walls were spared)
2) He likes to boss Cheerio around (oh wait, he likes to boss everyone around)
3) The other day he said "turd" and I have no idea where he learned that one (hmmm)
4) He has now mastered putting his shoes on...on the wrong feet
5) He loves riding around in the Burley when we go bike riding
6) I caught him with a yucky face the other day (he found one of Mike's fish oil capsules)
7) He shared all his toys at church with the boys in front of him
8) He'd eat m&ms for breakfast if I let him (oh, I think I did one morning - bad mama)
9) He's already started tattle telling - he says "mama Cheerio poo" when we're walking Cheerio
10) He gives great hugs and says "I wuv u"

Nicholas is a joy and it's fun to see him growing up, asserting his independence, and developing his personality. We love him to pieces mices.
