On Monday night we carved our pumpkin. Mike did a good job copying a little monster that Nicholas made at a birthday party a few months ago. Nicholas refused to touch the slimy "guts."
Cheerio was a good sport getting in the picture, even though he's probably wondering why we're making such a fuss over an orange ball with fire in it.
My two pumpkins...how can you not love Halloween with these two smiling faces : )

Pumpkin Patch
Nicholas loved seeing all the "baby pumpkins" at the pumpkin patch. He wanted to take them all home : )
This stuff sure is scratchy, but I'll climb on anything.
Look who's guarding the bridge to the animal farm...who's more ferocious, Nicholas and Dada or that alligator? Hmmm...it's a tie.
And we couldn't leave without buying a pumpkin. So Nicholas picked out his own baby one and Mike and I bought some acorn squash for dinner. Yes, I know this is a funny looking picture : )

The end and a surprise
This is Nicholas at the end of our day in San Francisco. I guess I wore the poor boy out.
I opened the garage door one day and found this snake. I don't do snakes, and since Mike was working, I called one of our neighbors to come get rid of it. I think the snake got a surprise of his own when he went flying over the backyard fence into the canal.

Fishy Day
Since Mike was working this weekend, Nicholas and I decided to do our own fun thing. So we took the BART into San Francisco to Pier 39. Here's Nicholas in his shark hat at the aquarium.
We were amazed at how friendly the rays were in the touch pool. They'd come right up to the edge and flap their wings at us. Nicholas got splashed a few times, but he loved touching them.
Here's the starfish touch pool.
And of course, we visited the colony of sea lions that lives by the pier. There must've been a thousand of them. I don't know how any of them could've got any shut eye. There was so much noise from the barking and they were climbing all over each other.

Gotta Line 'em Up Just So...
Rainy Day
It's been raining cats and dogs all day so here are my boys watching the Wiggles. I got Nicholas a new dvd since he did so well with his flu shots this morning. Even though there were screaming, crying kids everywhere, he didn't let out a peep. Well, until they poked him and then shot the H1N1 flu mist up his nose. He was a trooper!! I don't think Cheerio's a big fan of the Wiggles; he's just so bored he's lowered himself to watching tv with us : )
Tree Hugger
We took a weekend trip a couple of weeks ago to Benicia, and Nicholas loved the get-a-way. Out of all the fun things we did that weekend, I think he most loved this tree. Have to admit, it's a good climbing one : )
