Random Moments

   

Nicholas singing “Jesus came to John the Baptist…”. We just looked up and he had on the headphones and was pretending to play while singing the lines from the Baptism song.  Didn’t quite get the camera fast enough for him to still have on the headphones, but notice Mr. barebuns.

 

New table!  We waited almost 2 months for it to come in. Finally, a real table for the holiday meals – thanks to Brenda!

 

 

 

Last but not least, a little fun time torturing Cheerio.  He hates it so much when we’re laughing at him, but he humors us.  At least we’re still getting some good use out of the diapers.

I LOVE MY BOY

Ken and Mary gave this cool toy to Nicholas this week and after Ken came over and put it together for me (I am spatially challenged : ), Nicholas played with it forever.  It was his reward for being successful on the potty.  YES, our boy is potty trained, and in less than a week.  And I had nearly nothing to do with it, he’s just one smart cookie and catches on quickly.  YOU DID IT sweetheart, we’re so proud of you and sniff, another sign our boy is growing up fast.

It was such a gorgeous day today that my friend, Grace, and I took the boys to the park.  Here’s Thomas and Nicholas enjoying the sand box.

 

Now that Nicholas is wearing big boy underwear, he didn’t want Cheerio to miss out on all the fun.  He sacrificed a new pair of Thomas the train underwear for Cheerio.  We love you Cheerio for putting up with all our craziness.

What an amazing game last night, we were on the edge of our seats.  We were so glad that Joe and Julie could share the excitement with us.  While I was thrilled that Duke won, I was so impressed by Butler’s Gordon Hayward.  He gave it his all with a long shot at the last second of the game, and I thought now that’s the way to do it.  That’s the way to live life, giving it your 100% all the way to the end.  Awesome game!!!  And we’re so excited for Duke…it takes us back to our glory days there : )

Easter Fun!!

Our camera batteries quit a few minutes after we arrived at the city’s Easter egg hunt this past weekend so I only got one picture of Nicholas hunting.  (Definitely need a new camera)

And so it begins...

The big day has finally arrived! Diaper in the trash...new package of undies for later in the week. For now, though, Mr. barebums. He threw a big fit at first and tried to put his pants back on by himself. Then we took those away and he went digging through all the drawers in his room for some pants...luckily he came back with his hat instead. I guess he just needed to cover at least something up.

Into the bathroom to check out the Thomas and Friends potty chart.
