Nicholas finished kindergarten with flying colors. He loved his year with Ms. Lombardo and made some great friends in class. He learned to read, write, and all his letters and numbers. He got excellent report cards, went on some awesome field trips, made some great art, and grew up a little bit faster. It’s said that everything you need to know you learn in kindergarten…if that’s true, we’re off to a great start! Can’t wait for first grade adventures!
I know I’m a little behind but better late than never right? Nicholas turned 6 on May 21 and even though I had said it wasn’t a party year, I caved. We had his friends from school and church over and even though it was a little chilly outside they loved the water balloons and “pool” we had set up for them. We also had bird stuff to do and I even found a toucan shaped pinata that the kids loved.
Nicholas wanted a bird cake (I was thinking, how in the world am I going to make a cake in the shape of a toucan?). I eventually decided to just make flowers and trees and then put tropical birds on the cake. Nicholas loved it and it was really yummy…strawberry cake with cream cheese filling.
We can’t believe Nicholas is 6…time flies!! We’re so glad Grammie and Grandpa helped us celebrate and that the party was a success. We love you Nicholas!!!
My boys may drive me crazy sometimes but they’re the reason I’m so happy. They give me such a great purpose in life and make me laugh. I’m honored to be their mom. Plus, they couldn’t get any cuter.
I’m so blessed to have such a beautiful family. I love them so much!!
Well, Nicholas finally talked us into it : ) Mike searched all over and finally found a hand-fed parakeet for him. Nicholas named him Lightling and so far he’s been a great bird. The only one not happy around here now is Cheerio…he’s secretly plotting how he can get his paws on Lightling.
We had a wonderful weekend starting off with an Easter egg hunt at the park with the ward. Mike gave a wonderful devotional and the kids got plenty of eggs. It was cold but the boys ate enough candy to warm them up : )
My dad came down to spend Easter with us. We’re glad he lives close enough to see us often!!

We can’t believe our little boy is 2! Time flies!! It was easy to decide the theme for Ryan’s birthday as all he does lately is play with trains. He knows every Thomas character and most of his conversations involve choo choos : )
We kept the day low key and just had a family day. It was soooo nice not having a party, it was nice and peaceful!
It was nice having Gramie here to celebrate with us. She and Nicholas had to open most of Ryan’s presents because he got distracted after he opened his first Thomas coloring book.
Happy 2nd Birthday Ryan…you have blessed our lives with your smiles, laughs, and hugs. We love you!!!!
Well, despite Ryan’s attempt to get out of pictures (he had to get his forehead glued after an accident Friday), we managed to catch all of the boys looking at the camera. They can’t wait for Santa to get here, and Cheerio can’t wait to get the Santa suit off : ) Christmas is going to be a fun time this year!!!
